OFFER TO SUPPLY MOBILE TRANSFER UNIT (MTU) OR AUTOMATIC IDENTIFICATION SYSTEM (AIS) FOR VESSEL MONITORING SYSTEM (VMS) The Department of Fisheries Malaysia invites all interested and qualified companies to become authorized suppliers of Mobile Transmitting Units (MTU) and/or Automatic Identification System (AIS) tools for Vessel Monitoring System (VMS). MTU devices will be installed on vessels and fishing equipment operating in Malaysian fishing waters;. The conditions to apply are: The company must be registered with the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM); MTU/AIS devices offered must be approved by SIRIM; The MTU/AIS device offered must be approved by the Spectrum and Frequency Certificate from the Malaysian Multimedia Communications Commission (SKMM); and The MTU/AIS equipment offered must go through a “Proof of Concept (POC)” implementation period of two (2) months starting from the date of installation of the MTU/AIS equipment on the fishing vessel and data integration in the department’s VMS system. . BUDI MADANI is the vehicle of the MADANI Government to ensure that subsidy allocations are targeted to the deserving group. The 2024 budget that was announced, committed to re-targeting fuel subsidies to curb smuggling activities and the leakage of people’s subsidies. In order to ensure that the welfare of the majority of the people continues to be preserved, BUDI MADANI was introduced as a platform for retargeting subsidies only to those in need. Certain ground goods transport vehicles continue to receive subsidies to control the price of goods, while selected individuals are given cash assistance to curb the increase in the cost of living. Bagi memastikan kebajikan majoriti rakyat terus terpelihara, BUDI MADANI diperkenalkan sebagai platform penyasaran semula subsidi hanya kepada yang memerlukan. Kenderaan pengangkutan barangan darat tertentu terus mendapat subsidi bagi mengawal harga barangan, manakala individu terpilih diberikan bantuan tunai bagi membendung kenaikan kos sara hidup.
