Respecting the consent of His Majesty Al-Wathiqu Billah Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin Ibni Almarhum Sultan Mahmud Al-Muktafi Billah Shah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of the State of Terengganu Darul Iman and all its conquered colonies who are willing to defile their majesty officiated the Terengganu Juvenile Cuboid Barrier Trawl Barrier 2024 Program in the waters of Alur Tuman, Marang.
A total of 20 units of juvenile cuboid artificial reefs of trawl barriers anchored today are part of the 100 units of reefs built and anchored this year through the Terengganu State Marine Fisheries Resources Enrichment Programme. This program is very important for the management of fisheries resources in the State of Terengganu.
His Majesty Tuanku Sultan also conducted a dive to personally observe the cuboid reef that had been anchored while accompanied by YB. Dr Azman bin Ibrahim, Chairman of the Terengganu State Agriculture, Agro-based Industry, Food Security and Commodities Committee.
His Majesty and his entourage were accompanied by Yang Amat Berhormat Dato’ Seri Dr. Ahmad Samsuri bin Mokhtar, Menteri Besar of Terengganu, YB. Dato’ Nara Setia, Terengganu State Finance Officer, YBhg. Dato’ Haji Adnan Bin Hussain, Director General of Fisheries Malaysia, and En. Ruzaidi bin Mamat, Terengganu State Fisheries Director.
